This module applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance or inspection of Network Rail telecommunication cable distribution frames, distribution cases, location cases and telecoms equipment housings.
Cable frames which are integral to the signalling or E&P frames or which have fewer than ten pairs terminated on them are excluded.
Purpose
The purpose of this module is to promote the longevity, decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and identify potential failures before they become service affecting of telecommunication cable distribution frames, distribution cases, location cases and telecoms equipment housings.
NOTE: It is the intention of Network Rail that, where practicable, deficiencies of a minor nature should be rectified during inspection.
