This module specifies the requirements for the maintenance of the MX-ONE and peripheral equipment.
It applies to all staff carrying out maintenance of the MX-ONE system.
It does not cover activities undertaken by NMC (Network Management Centre)
Purpose
This telecoms maintenance instruction defines the maintenance and functional testing that Network Rail require for MX-ONE switches in operational and business buildings, which are provided to facilitate Operational and Operational Support communications for the safe operation of the railway.
The purpose of maintaining and testing these telephone exchanges is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential failures before they become service affecting.
