All 650V FSPs in public locations with Class I power supplies, unless;

a) A recent test2 has been carried out in accordance with the NR/SIGELP/L3/50001 - NR/SPS T001 and

b) the target earth calculation has been carried out using either

i) the Target Earth Calculation Model (TECM) or ii) other approved method (via Amey site survey assessments) where the analysis has been completed and approved by a competent person

and

c) The RAM [E&P] (or their appointed delegate) has compared site test results against the approved target earth value requirements and determined that no enhancement is required.

The RAM [E&P] will provide a list of all FSPs meeting the criteria to each Delivery Agent.

Purpose

The purpose of this Special Inspection Notice is to identify 650 volt (V) Functional Supply Points (FSPs) in public locations (as defined in Section 4) which may require enhanced earthing and these improvements to be made.
