This SIN covers all sites where the following equipment is located:

a) POGO

b) POGO and MSLs

c) Barriers and MSLs

A list of known sites is provided in appendix B, however should the Route be aware of additional sites which do not appear on the list, they should also be included.

Purpose

This Special Inspection Notice (SIN) has been issued to confirm:

a) there are no further installations of POGO or commissioning into service of any previously installed POGOs until reliability issues with the product have been addressed;

b) POGOs are only operational at sites where users fully understand how to operate crossing equipment and can safely traverse the crossing, until known issues with signage and site layout are rectified;

c) the signage and instructions at crossings where POGO remains operational are clear and give no cause for confusion.
