• Contracts and Procurement

This document shall apply when:

• adding, removing, or renewing/moving assets as a result of works;

• changing asset characteristics during maintenance; and

• verifying asset information.

Purpose

This document describes the arrangements and controls which have been established by Network Rail to maintain knowledge of its infrastructure.

It allocates the responsibilities within Network Rail for the management of asset data and mandates the relevant Asset Data Management procedures.
