This Notice applies to all RR2000-series Reed receiver applications, including Frequency Division Multiplex (FDM) remote control systems, track circuits and point detection circuits. Type R equipment is not included.
Purpose
Failure modes have been identified in the RR2000-series of ‘Reed' receiver amplifiers which can lead to wrong-side failures. Corrective measures have been devised but vary according to the age and application of the equipment. This SIN requires a survey to establish the existing distribution and modification status of Reed equipment.
