This instruction applies to all split air-conditioning plant used by Network Rail, where used in FTN REBs.

Purpose

This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of Air-Conditioning plant used by Network Rail in FTN REBs.

The purpose of undertaking this inspection is to ensure that the Air-Conditioning plant in functional and to identify defects before they become service effecting, so as to prevent over heating and thus the performance and reliability of telecoms equipment.
