This specification relates to the standard steel rail key shown on Railtrack drawing RE/PW/518 and used in the situations set out in Railtrack Line specification RT/CE/S/102 Track construction standards. However, alternative materials and designs (for which other uses may be applicable) are permitted subject to the provisions of section 7.
PURPOSE
This specification is for use in procuring and manufacturing steel rail keys to be used between bullhead rail and chair jaw.
