The Guidance contained in this note is intended as an aid to project managers and ergonomists in applying the requirements of the RT/E/P/24020 [1]. Purpose

The following Guidance Note provides greater detail about the way in which RT/E/P/24020: Incorporating Ergonomics Within Engineering Design Projects: Requirements [1] may be applied. The most appropriate guidance will vary depending on the current stage of the project, and in a number of cases, one form of guidance will be relevant to a number of stages. RT/E/P/24020 [1] provides full details of which guidance note(s) is most applicable to each stage of the engineering process. This Guidance Note is presented in a number of short sections to facilitate ease of use and interpretation.
