The equipment requirements contained in this document apply only to the SL35 filament lamp, which is mainly used in the long range colour light signal.

PURPOSE

This document specifies the equipment requirements for the tungsten filament lamp, type SL35 (as defined in BS469:1995), so as to ensure and maintain the optical performance of signals to Specification BR903, into which the lamp is fitted. This document also specifies the minimum recommended quality assurance requirements to ensure the compliance of each lamp in a quantity supplied.
