Reason To maintain the equipment in a suitable condition and state of adjustment to ensure satisfactory performance.

Periodicity The examination and testing should be carried out at 2 yearly intervals, but may be increased at the discretion of the Local Engineer, where local conditions require this.

Notes

Appropriate action must be taken to institute repairs if any defects are found during the course of this work. If any fault cannot be immediately corrected, the E.C.O. must be informed of the condition of the equipment.
