This procedure applies to all procurement that utilise Railtrack determined contract terms and conditions.

PURPOSE

This procedure specifies the selection of appropriate Conditions of Contract and the process for the preparation of contract templates for Special Conditions of Contract and Bespoke Contract Conditions.

This procedure specifies the process for implementing modifications to contract templates which protect the interests of Railtrack across the entire span of Railtrack Procurement without unnecessary duplication and proliferation of contract forms. The process shall ensure consistency between templates where this is desirable, and that they are updated to incorporate developments in best practice, whilst ensuring that the development and issue of contract templates is controlled.
