This procedure applies to the engagement of all management consultants in any department or zone throughout all Railtrack.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to support the Corporate Manual's requirement, by defining the steps that must be followed by all parties in the various stages of engagement of management consultants.

This procedure emphasises compliance with the Corporate Manual requirement to obtain prior approval of the Chairman or Chief Executive for the engagement of all Management Consultants, and the need to avoid engaging management consultants against ill-defined remits where the deliverables and timescales are not clear.
