This Standard applies to all Network Rail activities. Specifically it covers: -

• the initial arrangements for implementing the Emergency Response Manual with due regard to existing standards and procedures that the Route has in place

• the process for changing the content

• the review process

The Manual will contain procedures and guidance such as emergency procedures, incident management, crisis management, emergency services guidance and other related matters.

Purpose

To mandate the use of the Network Rail Emergency Response Manual and to describe the processes that shall be used to control the issue, use and amendment of the content.
