PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF DOCUMENT

The purpose of this document is to provide all the information that a project engineer will need in the development phase for determining the size of an IECC when it is used as part of a resignalling scheme.

It is assumed that SSI or RII are part of the scheme and that the decision to use an IECC has been taken. A cost analysis of IECCs versus conventional panels may be found in the IECC versus NX appraisal document^[1]. If a more detailed costing of an IECC is required then the procedure outlined in this document may be used to determine equipment quantities.
