All Cat A SPADs regardless of whether there has been an allegation against the signalling. In cases where sunlight interference with signal readability is alleged as the cause, use this TI and also separate TI 013. Where an allegation against the signalling system is made this shall be investigated using the Signal Failure Investigation (SFI) process, that shall take precedence over this specification. However, records shall be maintained as defined in this specification.
Purpose
The purpose of this Technical Instruction is so that the technical requirements for the immediate investigation following a Cat A SPAD are defined and implemented.
