This instruction applies to all new or replacement fixed staff protection systems.
Purpose of TI
There are two types of approved lockout device for use by staff known as a PLOD and a SLOD. This instruction details the applications in which they can be used (which formed part of their product approval).
The current Group Standard (GK/RT0212) no longer specifies the requirements for protection systems solely for NR staff, hence this instruction defines the application rules pending the issue of a company standard.
