A paper describing the results of the first half of the study has been presented and published (Lee and Knudsen, "Scaling Characteristics of Cooling Tower Water," ASHRAE Transactions, 1979, Vol. 85, Part 1; also Research Page ASHRAE Journal, March 1978, pp. 37- 38.). The present paper is a report for the remainder of the study and describes the results of scaling tests and three different cooling tower waters. Overall findings from GRP-I06 are also summarized in this report.
