The integration of computer-aided design software into a senior-level heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning design course is presented. The course content and prerequisite material are presented along with a list of software topics covered in the design l aboratory. The students were exposed to the software through weekly laboratory exercises developed to reinforce the fundamental principles of moist air processes, duct design, piping design, and building thermal load calculations.
