One of four high schools in the Blue Valley School District (located in a southern suburb of Kansas City, Kan.) experienced several indoor air quality (IAQ) issues associated with increasing student population and limitations of the existing mechanical systems. The district decided to research the problem at the Blue Valley North High School (BVNHS) and have the design team explore new and innovative design solutions. The designs dramatically improved the learning environment, so the district has duplicated the solutions throughout the Blue Valley School District.
