This addendum provides changes to TIA-968-B, Telecommunications – Telephone Terminal Equipment – Technical Requirements for Connection of Terminal Equipment to the Telephone Network. Clause 2 provides an addition to the list of acronyms and abbreviations in sub-clause 3.2 of the standard and an additional informative reference for the bibliography in Annex C. Clause 3 removes the requirements for Type B ringing from Table 6 and from various subclauses of 5.1.11 (loop start interfaces) and 5.1.12 (ground start interfaces). Clause 4 adds a new sub-clause 5.3.10 with interface requirements for a class of DSL service known as Fast Access to Subscriber Terminals (FAST1). None of the other clauses in TIA-968-B are affected.
