Foreword
TIA/EIA-136-334 specifies the Subnetwork Dependent Convergence Protocol (SNDCP) for packet-data service (GPRS-136). The SNDCP functions include multiplexing of several packet-data protocols, compression and decompression of user data, compression and decompression of protocol control information, segmentation of a network protocol data unit (N-PDU) into logical link control protocol data units (LL-PDUs), and reassembly of LL-PDUs into an N-PDU.
TIA/EIA-136-334 was developed by TR-45.3.2, the Data Services Working Group of TR-45.3, the TIA TDMA Wireless Standards Subcommittee.
