TIA-845-A fails to communicate to the user that a single geodetic datum is to be used for both the measurements and the site data. Further, the XML format could give the impression to some users that the @hdtm and @vdtm attributes apply only to the site coordinates. This Addendum clarifies these matters by (a) specifying that a single geodetic datum shall be used for both site and measurement coordinates, and (b) moving the @hdtm and @vdtm attributes outside the (site) element.
