This is the final report of the three-year research program since June 1973 on "Investigation of Methods of Controlling and Reducing Weld Distortion in Aluminum Structures." The objective of the research program is to investigate; analytically and experimentally, methods of controlling and reducing weld distortion in aluminum structures. The program was supported jointly by the National Science Foundation and the Welding Research Council. Ten Japanese companies also provided funds to expand the program.
