This practice describes furnishing and applying a high-friction surface treatment (HFST) for asphalt and concrete pavements. The HFST is composed of a minimum of a single layer using a binder resin system and surface-applied aggregate. Binder resin systems include polymeric and methyl methacrylate resins.
