Specifies requirements for washer/disinfectors that accommodate, wash, disinfect, and either partially or totally dry certain components and subassemblies of medical respiratory apparatus (e.g. rebreathing bags, endotracheal tubes, corrugated tubing, facepieces, masks). Washer/disinfectors for respiratory apparatus are not intended to treat sucker tubing, single-use equipment, mechanical components, electrical components and other types of equipment. Guidance on information that should be supplied with enquiries and orders is given in an appendix.
