This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of trenchless technology. Open cut pipe replacement is presented, along with several types of trenchless technologies that include: lining; micro-tunneling; pipe bursting; and, horizontal directional drilling. Several types of pipe are presented, along with several examples of case studies. Presentation conclusions indicate that: the adoption of trenchless methods such as
horizontal directional drilling and trenchless pipe
replacement will continue to grow as municipalities
look to stretch their dwindling budgets;
there are numerous pipe material options available
to suit the needs of municipalities; and,
trenchless methods are sustainable construction
applications. Includes figures.
