This powerpoint presentation begins by providing the project scope that includes the following: design of a treated water transmission main
from water treatment plant to serve east side
of the City of San Marcos; approximately 5,300 LF of 24" DIP and 19,400 LF of
30" DIP;
crossing of the San Marcos River was required; and,
design of parallel raw water transmission
main under the San Marcos River for
Guadalupe Blanco River Authority. Historical and archeological impacts are presented, along with
environmental impacts and permitting, trenchless consideration, flexible restrained joint ductile iron pipe; and,
installation. Presentation observations and conclusions indicate that:
flexible restrained joint ductile iron pipe
should be applicable for installations where
the following performance parameters are
required;
operating pressures greater than 160 psi;
installations where pipe ID is required to meet flow
requirements; and,
performs well in HDD applications. Includes tables, figures.
