This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Singapore and PUB (Singapore's National Water Agency). Potential impacts of climate change on Singapore are presented, along with
climate impact and adaptations related to
water supply,
storm water, and
sewerage system. An inter-agency vulnerability study on the effect and impact of global climate change and sea level rise on
Singapore over the next 100 years is presented, along with the scope of the study that includes the following topics: changes in temperature and probability of heat waves;
changes in wind forces;
probability of extreme storms;
changes in rainfall intensity, duration, frequency;
impact on yield of water resources;
probability and duration of droughts;
saline water intrusion into reservoirs;
coastal land loss due to erosion and submergence;
flooding impacts under various scenarios of sea-level rise and design
storms; and,
impact on drainage network system.
