This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Arsenic Compliance Plan for the Arrowhead and Bakersfield Wells and the S. Upper Truckee Wellfield of northern California. Corrosion concerns in the
Christmas Valley pressure zone are presented, along with water quality issues related to
corrosion, corrosion control alternatives, and aeration alternatives. The Clement Well packed tower air stripper is presented, including pilot testing, the pilot aeration unit, and linear polarization probes and
copper tubing. Findings for
copper corrosion related to aeration and aeration plus sodium silicate are provided, along with findings for
lead-tin solder corrosion, for
mild steel corrosion, and for galvanized steel corrosion. Treatment recommendations for S. Upper Truckee Well No. 3 are given. Includes tables, figures.
