This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) and its need for water treatment operators. SCVWD's local school outreach program is presented and includes reaching into the middle/high schools and colleges to increase awareness. Additional outreach for the District includes working with community colleges for interns to find/train qualified operators. SCVWD's historical approach to meeting the labor gap is contrasted with its current approach that includes the operator intern program. The benefits of this approach are presented. Includes tables.
