Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) recently implemented a comprehensive acoustic leak detection program. The objectives of the program were to: develop surveying and accounting methods for a leakage management program; and, to reduce water loss to low and economically sustainable levels. The program uses new technology of digital correlation, a computerized database of acoustic recordings, and digital mapping. This one page report describes the program, results and conclusions.
