1 Scope This specification describes the padding used for miscellaneous floor applications. The padding shall consist of a uniform, pliable felt composed of 100% black polyester fibers. The material must lend itself to packing and production handling in assembly and service. The material shall be free from dust-out, mold and noxious, toxic or irritating matter and shall exhibit no bleeding or staining properties. Also, the material must not cause skin irritation to personnel required to handle parts fabricated from this material.
