Material Description. This specification covers the performance requirements of exterior plastic moldings, claddings, and appliqués that are attached to the body, or fascia using an adhesive. It also covers inserts that are bonded to the trim. This specification also covers tape attached seals, and weatherstrips.
• For bilaminate (plastic/metal) moldings that are mechanically attached to the body, refer to GM3620M.
• For nameplate and emblem adhesion to the body using pressure sensitive tape, refer to GM6271M. • Decorative inserts constructed of film laminates, refer to GM3619M.
• For the adhesion and durability of decals and stripes, refer to GM6073M.
