1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the Performance requirements of exterior plastic moldings systems which are either adhesively or mechanically attached to the body; plastic or plastic/metal appliques which are adhesively attached to the body; and flexible exterior inserts adhesively attached to the trim (i.e., used as decorative component of molding and fascia assemblies). This specification does not cover weatherstrip attachment systems. Potential adverse interaction between the exterior trim and the attaching body p-1 is beyond the scope of this Specification.
