1 Scope This specification covers the materials and test-ing requirements for a part number identification label, and an informational content label. The part number ID label is used to designate the various styles/colors/positions for cast aluminum wheels during assembly plant handling. The labels are only meant to be temporary (adhesion required until dealer preparation), and should be easily removed in one piece from the clear coated aluminum surface. The info label is de-signed for permanent usage on wheels, both styled aluminum and painted steel.
