This Defence Standard 02-332 in conjunction with the documents referred to herein specify the general requirements for the design, provision, manufacture, installation and testing of the following Submarine Naval Reactor Plant (NRP) Secondary Propulsion Systems:

a) Main Feed System;

b) Main Steam;

c) Auxiliary Steam;

d) Gland Steam Systems;

e) Steam Drain System.

This Standard shall be read in conjunction with SSP 25 (Obsolescent suitable for use in support of legacy equipment only) Quality Assurance for Safety in Submarines or Def Stan 02-207 Quality Requirements for Ensuring and Assuring Materiel Safety in Submarines in so far as it affects First Level systems.
