This Defence Standard 02-332, in conjunction with the documents referred to herein, specify the general requirements for the design, provision, manufacture, installation and testing of the following Submarine Naval Reactor Plant (NRP) Secondary Propulsion Systems:

a) Main Feed System;

b) Main Steam System;

c) Auxiliary Steam System;

d) Gland Steam System;

e) Steam Drain System.

For legacy platforms prior to and including Astute Class Batch 1 (HMS Astute, HMS Artful and HMS Ambush) this standard shall be read in conjunction with SSP 25. For newer platforms from and including Astute Class Batch 2 (HMS Anson, HMS Agamemnon, HMS Agincourt and HMS Audacious), Dreadnought class, etc, this standard shall be read in conjunction with Def Stan 02-207.
