INTRODUCTION

The Original Co-ordinated Schedule of Common User Hand Tools, first published in May, 1943, was compiled by a Hand Tools Sub-Committee under the auspices of the former Ministry of Supply. The Hand Tools Sub-Committee of the Joint Equipment Standardization Committee of the Ministry of Defence assumed responsibility for this Schedule in March, 1950. After review, the schedule was superseded by the Defence List of Common User Hand Tools, DL-9, published in 1955.
