This specification applies to:
a) any organisation involved in the development of the DIU; and
b) any product that will be approved through the product acceptance process for use as a DIU.
Purpose
This specification sets out the technical requirements of the Dispatcher Indicator Unit (DIU). The DIU assists the train dispatch process by repeating information to station staff along the length of the platform. The DIU may be used by platform staff as an alternative to indicators mounted along the platform.
