The CAD cells specified in this document will be used in the production of all new records for Network Rail infrastructure.

Purpose

This document, in support of Company Standard NR/SP/SIG/11201, Signalling Design: Production, defines the symbols, nomenclature and presentation for use on all CAD signalling circuit diagrams to ensure that the correct information is always conveyed without ambiguity.

This document has been developed to support the Circuit Symbol Components (CSC) and Circuit Symbol Equipment (CSE) signalling CAD Cell Libraries. It specifies the characteristics of all cells in the CSC and CSE libraries and will be used as an aid to designers. It also specifies the process for requesting additions or changes to the library. It is expected that this document will expand and evolve as additional cells are created.

The Cell Attributes specified in this document provide information regarding the generic properties of the cells, MicroStation settings and constraints that are to be used when drawing a cell.

The Cell Attributes also identifies the structure of the Signalling CSC CAD Cell Library, requirements and process for the revision of existing cells within the library and the introduction of new cells into the library.

The CSC CAD Cell Dictionary pages specified in this document show each individual cell within the CSC library.

Issue of the CSC CAD Cell Library is in electronic form and will comprise of the Cell Library (.cel), pdf versions of the Cell Index and Cell Dictionary in addition to this document.
