This procedure applies to:

a) the communications engineering content of all schemes proposed to be implemented by, or on behalf of, any Network Rail Directorate including feasibility studies and other preliminary designs

b) proposals for temporary works associated with such schemes

These procedures do not apply to:

a) normal day to day maintenance work

b) work carried out under emergency conditions

c) assessments of existing installations and equipment

Purpose

To define procedures for the technical acceptance requirements for changes to the infrastructure to telecommunications schemes and services.
