This module applies to:
a) accidents and assaults involving Network Rail employees whilst on duty, including whilst travelling in road vehicles (whether owned, hired or leased by Network Rail);
b) accidents and assaults involving employees of contractors whilst undertaking work for Network Rail.
Purpose
To provide a consistent, comprehensive and structured process for the reporting and investigation of personal accidents and assaults to employees of Network Rail and its contractors that:
a) meets the requirements of GO/RT3119 and GE/RT8047 and
b) provides accurate information to the Safety Management Information System (SMIS)
