PURPOSE
Controllers shall:
• respond to faults and failures as they are reported;
• work with maintenance to deliver a timely response by maintenance;
• determine the full details and effects of the failure and;
• maintain the safety of the operational railway;
• correctly identify the type of failure as detailed in NR/L2/SIG/10047 Management Of Safety Related Reports For Signalling Failures and enter the details into FMS or the appropriate system.
