This Work Instruction Standard and the procedures in the Operations Manual apply only to the actions of employees in the Route Operations function who are competent to work within the operations environment. Temporary Non Compliances, Derogations or Variations to responsibilities or processes shall be managed through the Network Rail Tracker System and shall not be regarded as applicable until authorised by the Head of Operations Principles & Standards.

Purpose of this Work Instruction Standard

This Work Instruction Standard bears the authorising signatures for the Operations Manual and contains the Contents & Responsibilities Matrix of the procedures contained therein. It shall be issued every time there is a change to procedures in the manual.
