This procedure applies to Capacity Planning, the Freight Service Delivery Manager (FSDM) and Route Control. It helps them manage:

a) the planning and delivery of heritage trains; and

b) the safe operation and working of heritage trains predominantly during periods of perturbation.

This procedure applies to:

• steam traction;

• diesel traction;

• electric traction;

• heritage rolling stock; and

• fire risk. 

PURPOSE 

This procedure manages the safe operation of heritage trains on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.
