This specification applies to all new indoor 12 kV, 24 kV and 36 kV rated a.c. switchgear installed on the D.C. Electrified Lines.
Purpose
This specification states the requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of indoor 12 kV, 24 kV and 36 kV rated a.c. switchgear for use in d.c. traction substations. The switchgear is used to control, protect and distribute three phase a.c. electrical supplies at a nominal system voltage of 11 kV, 22 kV and 33 kV respectively.
