These procedures apply to the approval, maintenance, issue and use of Railtrack's Model Clauses for Specifying Civil Engineering Works (Railtrack Line Code of Practice RT/CE/C/008), herein referred to as the ‘Model Clauses'.

PURPOSE

To ensure that contract specific clauses produced to specify the civil engineering requirements within Technical Workscopes in Railtrack's contracts comply with Railway Group Standards and Railtrack Line Standards, and that such clauses:

(a) contain all necessary technical requirements for quality, buildability, maintainability, serviceability and decommissioning,

(b) are consistent in format and content, and

(c) can be produced without undue time and effort
