This Guidance Note is designed to identify and index existing Railway Group and Company Standards that manage lineside security issues.

PURPOSE

Railway Group Standard GC/RT5201, Lineside Security requires the infrastructure controller to assess the risks arising from unwanted intrusion and unauthorised access to all sections of Railtrack Controlled Infrastructure including bridges, level crossings and stations and apply appropriate controls.

This Guidance Note provides guidance to the end user as to where they are able to find information relating to lineside security requirements.
