This instruction does not supersede periodic maintenance examinations or other relevant instructions for equipment within a building or a switching station.

Detailed requirements specific to individual types of equipment shall be the subject of separate instructions.

Purpose

This instruction details the periodic inspection of switching stations and promotes the awareness of general defects, damage and vandalism while visiting switching stations.
